Spotlight Post: The 29 Healthiest Foods on the Planet

The following is a “healthy food hot list” consisting of the 29 food that will give you the biggest nutritional bang for you caloric buck, as well as decrease your risk for deadly illnesses like cancer, diabetes and heart disease. Along with each description is a suggestion as to how to incorporate these power-foods into your diet.

The list at the above link names 29 foods and explains in detail just why they’re so good for you.

As you should always remember with all diet advice, there is no single “best” diet that works for every person. The list at the link above contains a lot of fruit, some of which a diabetic (or anyone else with carb and insulin issues) needs to avoid somewhat or altogether. It also contains some common allergens like peanuts. But it’s a good, solid common sense list, and it gets bonus points for not including soy, the health benefits of which are still under debate.
