Avoid chronic wrong numbers on your cell phone

by Jen (January 7, 2008)

If you regularly get wrong numbers on your cell phone or have callers you’d like to avoid, create a contact called “Wrong Number” and add to it any phone numbers that dial you by mistake. Set it to silent for their ringtone, and you won’t even be bothered with a ring.

While this is great if you have a number that gets mixed up with a major company or something, it can also be psychologically beneficial if you’re getting calls from someone (an ex or a former friend, for example) you’re trying to move on from. Dump their old contact name, add their number to the Wrong Number contact, and you won’t even know they tried to call.
