Killing Bugs You Can’t Reach

by Jen (September 24, 2006)

Got an old set of crutches, a paper towel and a rubber band? Then you’re all set to kill bugs who’ve crawled up to the very top of the hardest to reach corner in your room. Just rubber band the paper towel around the end of the crutch (just in case it’s dirty - you don’t want to smudge your walls), hold up the crutch and smush the bug. The handgrips on the crutch give you perfect leverage. And if bug carcass ends up smudging the wall, just put a clean paper towel on the crutch with soap and water or a gentle solvent like Windex, and clean the wall with it.

No crutches? No problem: a thick dowel stick will do the trick, too. So will any number of stick-shaped items around the home.
