Cold fighting foods

by Jen (January 14, 2008)

Health magazine has a nice article on foods that help your body fight off colds. I can vouch for several of these from my personal experience.

When I think I have a cold coming on, or even just know I’ve been exposed to someone who has one, I throw together the following:

  • Chicken broth
  • Lots of garlic (fresh may be better, but powder’s always done just fine)
  • Lots of onion (again, onion powder seems to do fine)
  • Cayenne pepper sauce (Tobasco or any similar product)
