Convert a maternity t-shirt to regular

Whether you’re done with your maternity wear or have found a bargain maternity shirt you couldn’t resist, CoffeePotPeople has a great tutorial for converting that shirt into an Empire waist shirt. The result is what you see in the picture here: a cute, fashionable shirt that looks like it was made this way to begin with.
I had hoped to add some more links to other sites telling you how to make use of maternity clothes as regular clothes, but didn’t find any. There’s plenty about converting regular clothes into maternity wear, but it looks like the majority of women never want to see their maternity clothes again (understandable). However, I think what CPP does here would work for a lot of types of maternity shirts. Many of the follow the same basic seam pattern, no matter how different they look.
