Daylight Savings gets an extra month - US

by Jen (March 6, 2007)

I got the following information this morning, for US residents:

Daylight Savings has been changed for 2007, as set under the 2005 Energy Act Policy. This new legislation requires that clocks be:

  • set FORWARD one hour on March 11 (three weeks earlier than prior years)
  • set BACK one hour on November 4 (one week later than normally done)

The point is to reduce energy costs for the US.

I am so excited for the early clock changing. I can take my dog on a long walk after work starting Monday!
