Dry shoes and clothes in a shower caddy
by Jen (September 24, 2006)

You probably already use your shower or tub as a station for drying delicate laundry or shoes and jackets that have gotten soaked in the rain. But sometimes items draped over the curtain rod or glass doors drip down onto the floor outside the tub. And shoes don’t dry out as quickly sitting on their soles as they do vertically, with the toe at the top. Or maybe you’ve got company, and would just as soon they not get a great big eyeful of your unmentionables.
Use a shower caddy to hang drying stuff up inside the shower, instead of half in and out. Look for hooks and trays that will hold shoes vertically, or dangle wet underwear. For heavy jackets, the shower head might be just the trick, so you may want a corner caddy for shoes and underwear instead of a caddy that hangs off the shower head.
But what about items that need to dry flat? If you want to keep those out of plain view, look for a small, lightweight folding table or TV tray that fits in your tub or shower (check out children’s furniture for possibilities). You can fold it up and tuck it away somewhere in the bathroom when it’s not in use.
