Easter crafts and recipes
Easter’s right around the corner. For those of you who celebrate it, I put together a link roundup of Easter-themed projects and recipes. Most of the projects are easy enough for kids to do. Happy Easter!
Easter projects
- Dyeing eggs with onion skins – simply gorgeous
- Quick little bunny – made from old baby socks
- Make a peeps picture frame – sparkly bunny adorns bright crafty picture frame
- Bunny ears for kids – a band worn around the head with cute bunny ears sticking up in the back. Very easy.
- Coiled Easter egg basket – made from strips of cotton. Not so easy, but very pretty (and frugal).
- Crepe Paper Spring Birds from Martha Stewart. Not as complicated as you might think.
- Eggshell Tulips – save those dyed egg shells, get some pipe cleaners, and you have something for the kids to do besides gorge themselves on Easter treats. Very easy.
- Chic Chick Basket – this neat idea comes from Hershey, but no chocolate is required.
- Jelly Bean Bunny – turn a little bag of jelly beans into a bunny with this print-and-cut design.
- Stained Glass Easter eggs – get really neat effects with old or cheap nail polish.
- Open Mouth Bunny Basket – a bunny head holds Easter candy
- Origami Easter Bunny – folding paper to make an Easter bunny
Easter recipes
- Lemon Easter Basket Cake – a cute lemon bundt cake made to look like an Easter basket.
- Papier Mache eggs – great project for vegan families or families that don’t eat eggs
- Resurrection Rolls – rolls designed to teach kids the religious symbology of the Resurrection.
- Make an Easter Bunny Cake – a cake that looks like the Easter Bunny
- Carrot and Walnut cake – a wonderful recipe for a traditional standby
- Crab deviled eggs – deviled eggs with crab meat and crab salad ingredients
