Green tea recipe

by Jen (January 23, 2008)

Green tea can be delicious and seriously refreshing. It also contains natural chemicals that reduce your anxiety from stress. Eco-Hacks is using a particularly tasty recipe to kick the diet cola addiction (good for you, good for the environment).

If you’re diabetic or avoiding even natural sugars for any reason, you could leave out the honey. It’ll give you more of the tea’s earthy flavor, but that flavor can become addictive after a while, too.

Green tea has a little bit of caffeine, but not enough to be an issue for most people. You can get decaf, but the decaf process involves chemicals that - again - aren’t great for you or the environment.

Herbal teas are another possibility (for avoiding caffeine and sugar) - I think most of them would be awesome with this recipe or variations on it.
