Gum Brushes

gumbrushContinuing with the theme of weird, wonderful dental tools, another one my dentists raves about is the gum brush. It’s a little soft-bristled brush on a plastic handle, which you insert between your teeth and move back and forth. Some people consider it a replacement for flossing; my dentist does not. He recommends that I still floss once a day with traditional floss, and use the gum brushes several times a day, whenever I’m sitting around and have a moment (it’s very easy and doesn’t take long).

They both clean between your teeth and stimulate your gums to grow, which helps keep them healthy.
