Health benefits of Red Wine

by Jen (January 8, 2008)

There really are some benefits to drinking a moderate amount of red wine every day, which is something like half of one of those fishbowls that pass as wine glasses these days. Note the emphasis on “moderate”, folks - you’ll do yourself more harm than good if you drink more wine than is healthful for your gender.

If you are diabetic, the sugar in red wine might not be good for you. Talk to your doctor first.

If there’s any history of alcoholism in your family and you don’t already drink, I wouldn’t risk starting. There is evidence that addictive tendencies can be genetic.
