Keep your receipts in a duct tape wallet
by Jen
You don’t want to lose your receipts when you shop. Keeping them in the shopping bag is usually okay, but not terribly secure. Bags get holes, people steal them (particularly around shopping holidays), and receipts that don’t have something heavy on top of them can work their way out of the bag.
You need a small, lightweight something to contain your receipts. It’s got to fit in a pocket next to your wallet, or in even a purse. Enter the duct tape wallet, which you can make yourself in just a few minutes. You can skip some of the customizations in that article (unless you want this to replace your regular wallet). The pockets are great for organizing receipts into different categories, if that’s something you need.

If you live in a State that has the “Smart” chips on its drivers licenses, or if you carry “smart” credit cards, this kind of wallet will also keep the RFID chips in them from broadcasting your personal data til you take the card out of the wallet.
Not to sound like one of the tinfoil-hat brigade, but that little broadcaster in your license or credit card is another great source of identity theft. Here’s a site that collects articles on RFID chips — http://www.spychips.com/index.html# . Right now, it has pieces from Associated Press, abc news, Business Week, and others.
