Make cardboard furniture for the kids

This is insanely smart.  If you’ve got a moving box and some patience, you can make some cardboard furniture for the kids.  It’s not meant to last forever, but it will be stable, safe and take some punishment.  And replacing it won’t be nearly as heartbreaking as replacing “real” furniture.
