Make your own baby mobile

Making a mobile for a baby will save you money compared to buying one, it also means you can totally customize it, recycle most of the materials for it, and have something the baby will later appreciate as having taken time and love to make. Carina’s Craftblog has a tutorial for making the yellow baby mobile pictured here, which is really pretty. Make sure all the materials you use are non-toxic.

There are lots of other tutorials out there for making mobiles. Look at a few of them, and you may even get your own unique ideas.

Homemade mobiles are great as baby shower gifts, too.
