Make your own protective fabric book covers

by Jen (March 23, 2008)

Years ago, I bought a wonderful little book cover to protect my paperbacks, make them easier to hold, and keep nosy people from starting conversations about what I was reading when I didn’t want to be bothered. I used it over and over for book after book.

Turns out they aren’t so hard to make yourself. Following this tutorial, you can put together a fabric book cover that’s exactly the size you want with exactly the fabric you want. Once it’s made, you just slip the front and back cover of the book into the pockets in the fabric cover.
