Organizing a tie rack

980507_some_tiesIf you’ve got more ties than fit on your tie rack, here’s a very straightforward way to get that situation under control:

  • Lay all your ties out.
  • Look at each one for stains and rips. Toss those suckers right out – you don’t need them and neither does anybody else.
  • Go through the ones that are left. If they don’t match anything you own or are profoundly out of style, give them away to a charity. Someone can use them, just not you.
  • If you have ties you haven’t worn in a year, consider giving those away, too. Unless the reason you’re not wearing them is they were lost in the closet for ages. ;)
