Organizing helps you feel accomplished

Julie at Declutterit wrote 10 reasons why staying organized is good for you. I have an 11th to add.
It show you you’re actually getting things done. Sometimes when I’m disorganized, I’m actually accomplishing a lot of things. But I don’t feel it because I’m so confused when I look around myself. I feel like a hampster running on a wheel, even when I am in fact getting somewhere.
I keep a to do list and a done list. If you don’t keep a paper to do list, many of the online and software options don’t do such a great job of storing your finished tasks. I need to be able to look at a big hefty list of things I’ve done lately, or else I think I’m being lazy and stress out. So I just quickly jot down everything I got done every day.
Within just a couple of weeks of starting this system, I couldn’t believe how quickly that feeling of being three months behind turned into a feeling of being just a day or so behind, and sometimes even caught up.
