Party Favor Place Cards

311152_party_fun_2Having a dinner party? Here’s a quick and easy way to impress guests. Instead of plain old place cards telling people where to sit at the dinner table, make party favor bags or boxes personalized for each guest. When people find where they’re supposed to sit, they’ll also find a little prize. It’s a nice, thoughtful touch, and if anyone thinks being told where to sit is too fancy, this’ll charm them right out of that mindset.

For the party favors, you can use little gift bags or boxes. For a cheaper option, look for patterned or colored lunch bags or small boxes you can wrap in gift wrapping. Fill them with… whatever! Think about your guests: would they react better to everyone receiving the same items? Would they enjoy having mostly the same item, but one item that’s customized for each person (my favorite option – it personalizes the whole thing, and seems even more thoughtful)? Are your guests more likely to enjoy those funny champagne poppers that spew streamers that you can get from any party favor aisle? Or would they enjoy organic gourmet chocolates? You don’t have to spend a lot. Photographs, custom key-chains, homemade jewelry… there are lots of options you can make yourself.
