Prevent break-ins while you’re on vacation

Going on vacation? Ask a neighbor to park their car in your driveway while you’re gone. Burglers know where to look, so don’t leave house keys under fake rocks. Call your newspaper and ask them to stop delivery for the days while you’ll be gone. Ask a trusted friend or relative to stop by every other day to water plants, turn lights on and off, listen to the radio and/or watch television. The appearance of someone being home often deters break-ins.
