Using a cotton ball to pick up glass

Someone just informed me that if you’re dealing with broken glass, you should take a dry cotton ball and run it over the surface where the glass landed, because the cotton fibers tend to pick up the glass you can’t see.

I would just add to that: a nice thick pair of gloves for added protection while you’re cleaning it.
