You can make your own paneer cheese?

If my keyboard shorts out in the middle of this article, it’ll be because I’m drooling. I love paneer cheese! It has the most wonderful firm texture that gently pops in your mouth, and a mild flavor that’s just made for submerging in Indian dishes with spicy and flavorful sauces.

Apparently, it’s not all that hard to make. Angry Chicken has posted the instructions she followed to make her own paneer. One small caveat:

The only thing is 4 cups of milk is a lot to use for anything makes very little cheese, like this piece here is not a whole lot bigger than a business card (with some scraps on the side). It also needs to be eaten right away I think, which is no big deal because the whole process took about 7 minutes. So, it’s wonderful, but uses up a lot of milk.

Okay, so maybe you can’t afford to make your own paneer cheese daily. But if you love it like I do, this is great to know!
